Indioteque was founded by four people with a passion for music – kirkerona, Fiff, Specta and The Fein who all relate to this type of music and its promotion in Bulgaria.

The project deals with organising parties aimed at the world indie and alternative scene which has managed to amass a fascinating musical heritage in the past decades. There is a glaring and urgent need for this heritage to be promoted, shared and appreciated in Bulgaria.

On 13 November 2008, Indioteque hosted its first party.

On 4 December 2008, Indioteque started officially.

In 2010 the project evolved into organizing live events including concerts of No Age (USA), Dirty Beaches (Canada), Handsome Furs (Canada), Jeniferever (Sweden), Molly Nilsson (Sweden), Sister Gracie (UK), Jude The Obscure (Germany), No Joy (Canada), A Place to Bury Strangers (USA) as well as events with estabilished bands from the region like punk rock revivalists Bernays Propaganda (Macedonia) and Repetitor (Serbia).

We are currently working with the Bulgarian National Radio where we have a show every week as part of the internet station binar.bg.
